À Sokcho, petite ville portuaire proche de la Corée du Nord, une jeune femme rêve d'ailleurs dans une pension modeste. Chaque jour, elle cuisine pour les rares visiteurs venus s'isoler du monde. L'arrivée d'un Français, auteur de bandes-dessinées, vient rompre la monotonie de l'hiver. Ils s'observent, se frôlent, et à mesure que l'encre coule, un lien fragile naît entre ces deux êtres aux cultures si différentes, en quête d'absolu.
In Sokcho, a small port town near North Korea, a young woman dreams of somewhere else in a modest pension. Every day, she cooks for the rare visitors who come to isolate themselves from the world. The arrival of a Frenchman, a comic book author, breaks the monotony of winter. They observe each other, brush against each other, and as the ink flows, a fragile bond is born between these two beings with different cultures, in search of the absolute.
