VPL - Zines

Zines are handmade publications that resemble little magazines or chapbooks. They are most often a labour of love, inspired by a need to communicate and connect with like-minded folks, or as a way of disseminating art or political ideas. Zines are produced from a desire for self-expression, true to the DIY ethic. They can cover any subject and are usually self-published in small print runs and come in many shapes and sizes. Get started with these titles carefully selected by the reading specialists at Vancouver Public Library. If you would like a personalized reading list, please use the Books Just For You service at https://www.vpl.ca/readnext.
