During the mid-1970s Electric Light Orchestra (or ELO, for short) were, without question, one of the absolute biggest-selling acts in the world of pop music, bar none.
Headlined by their zealous founder, singer/songwriter, Jeff Lynne, ELO's distinctive, up-tempo, synth-pop sound initially became all the rage in the USA long before it did in the land where these rockers originated from (which was, of course, Britain).
Between 1971-1986 ELO released a staggering total of 11 albums. This 2-disc "Platinum" collection contains 20 of ELO's biggest, #1, all-time hits, such as - Evil Woman, Don't Bring Me Down, and Strange Magic, to name but a few.
