It began as a routine age discrimination lawsuit, but when a key witness is gunned down in her Cadillac, attorney Rachel Gold finds herself with a case far older and far more dangerous than she and her 63-year-old client understand. How has Beckman Engineering been managing to rake in exorbitant profits from government contracts for over fifty years? And where has over half a centurys worth of dirty money been going? Skeletons both in and out of the closet pile up as Rachel delves into a mystery that spans two oceans and six decades of treachery, bribery, and cold-blooded murder.

More Boston Legal & Night Court with zany cases & equally eccentric secondary characters thanks to author who happened to be a lawyer in real life.
Small case related to bigger one thanks to research & lots of footwork in lowly Midwest.
Huge self-depreciating humor on Hollywood ending on trial vs what actually happened.
Good novel by author who started his writing career by his wife nagged him to put up or shut up on "I could write a better law novel".
