We are in the midst of a communications revolution. We have access to more information than at any time in history. But are we more informed or just overwhelmed by so much information we can't process? In [this book], legendary television journalist Bob Schieffer examines today's journalism and those who practice it -- how they see their profession, how it has been changed by new technology, and how well they believe they are carrying out their responsibility to provide American with the information they need to be good citizens. Based on interviews with over forty media leaders from television, print media, and the Internet, Schieffer surveys the perils and promises of journalism's rapidly changing landscape.

Schieffer is such a useless, incompetent clown, and the epitome of the Fake News Nothing!
Who would publish this creature? The same ones who publish endless fiction as non-fiction, of course. To date, I have never learned anything of factual value from Schieffer, he is a complete waste of a human's valuable time.
The description [and the book] say: // and the September 11 attacks, which saw the proliferation of misinformation on the internet . . .\\
Amazing, so when have I ever heard anything factual about 9/11 on NPR, or any other America Fake News? This past Sunday, on NPR, a female from the Bush Administration made the blatantly dishonest claim that the gov't couldn't prevent 9/11 due to insufficient number of trained linguists in the intelligence organizations!
Negative, dearie, the US State Department professional - - who originally denied visas to almost every single one of those Saudi hijackers [15 were Saudis, the remainder were Egyptian, Yemeni and unknowns with stolen Kuwaiti passports] - - but was later overruled by a mysterious higher-up, either within State or another government agency.
Why don't we know who that higher-up was and is? Because Fake News refuses to do any actual investigative journalism today!
And that's all she wrote, citizens . . . .
