I'm not entirely sure I liked this book, my first by Salman Rushdie, but it was compelling with some brilliant passages. The narrator was wonderful, tongue tripping over the longest Indian names. The audiobook was perfect for me because I couldn't skip and had to take in every word and turn of phrase.
