It's not your usual movie. The monsters are the props for greater story. IT may be not your cup of tea, but movie is original and smart. You may need to watch it second time to get motivation , character development and symbolism. It was worth watching.

Although my partner and I watched the whole film, it took some effort to do so, as this was too weird, disjointed and made no sense. Even Anne Hathaway could not save this film of an alcoholic, and the other main character, a psychopath (played by Jason Sudeikis), and a couple of other bit players. It took three quarters of the way through this film, before I thought, I was finally seeing a point to this character study, but was ruined by the ending. Just did not see a point.
Ms Hathaway was credited as one of many executive producers, so I guess she saw some redeeming value in this 109 minute film, but was disappointed to find that there was no documentation to help me figure out what it was, as the Special Feature, provided no clues, as it only showed a US cut of the same film. I skimmed through this to see if the ending was any different, but saw none, so do not know why the bothered with two versions, if in deed there was any difference at all?
Not recommended.

I found this surprisingly enjoyable, and compelling throughout. A practice in suspension of disbelief, for sure, but I liked this film and would recommend it.

Not exactly sure if I liked this one. For sure it is an original. Not sure of the purpose of the story. But if there was no underlying message or purpose to the story, then it was an interesting look at life, and the colossal impact one person's life has on others lives. And then run away to Seoul to find yourself. The anonymity of being in a large city is very freeing - there is no one there to criticize you. Perhaps there is an underlying message after all. Unique, original, weird . . . see for yourself

Good enough movie with an interesting story line. My disappointment was the men cast in the film were either jerks or wimps. Even the nice guy, who she apparently sleeps with, is a spineless wimp who hasn't the nerve to stand up to the bully. Found the story had a lot of holes. Spoiler alert. The monster turns out to be a replica of a toy she had when she was a kid of about 10 -12. I think you would remember that when you see something like it on TV. Like: "Hey, I had one of those only smaller when I was a kid".

Read the description and wondered how the writers and director are going to pull off the absurd premise without stupefying the actors and audience. Happy to report that they succeeded to deliver an original fantasy film with a clever message: be a superwoman/man, stand up and squash the monsters in our lives; that actions by a seemingly insignificant no-body can change the world – a case of the butterfly effect that tiny causes resulting colossal effects. On the other hand, it may just be a mental game drama about a woman facing demons in her head. Intriguing film that kept me guessing, thinking and applauding at the end.

Early scene - excuses:
I got into the car at 2. But then, I was going here. Well, I thought I was coming here. But then Georgia, wanted to go to the loft. You know I want to head home, so then I had to go to the loft. And when we got there, he was like... Well, now I want to take a nap. Then I'm waiting for her, until she wake up and then... I fell asleep. I have been asleep all day.
===
Listen...Georgia wanted to go, I didn't even want to go.
-Who the fxck is Georgia?
Natasha.
===
Well, you know like... if the monster only attacking Seoul... then all the rest of the world would stop caring, you know like... all the cease fire that happened.
