Beautiful documentary of the hummingbirds speedy, dancing birds able to fly in a highly low oxygen saturation mountain. wonderful, extraordinary creation to watch and see eating nectar from the flowers and fly away from one flowers to others with an amazing ability to do it quickly and efficiently by the unique way they are made.

When it comes to being "faster than a speeding bullet" - You can be sure - Hummingbirds are just about the only rival to Superman.

And - Even though hummingbirds may be the smallest bird on this planet - (IMO) - They are the most amazing ones of all, bar none.

Through special high-speed photography and some very creative camerawork - This excellent nature/wildlife documentary closely studies the truly fantastic manoeuvring abilities of these fascinating, little critters whose favourite colour just happens to be red.

All-in-all - If you like hummingbirds - You certainly can't go wrong with this 60-minute, PBS presentation.

Out of every one of my personal choices for all-time "favourite birds of the world" - (Be they owls, parrots, eagles, or peacocks) - It's, without question, hummingbirds who rank right up there at #1 on the very top of my list.

This informative, first-rate documentary from PBS takes a real close-up look at these truly amazing, little critters who are not only experts at hovering, but they can also fly backwards, upside-down and sideways, as well (which makes them totally unique in the ever-diverse world of birds).

This is my favorite of the PBS Nature episodes I've watched so far. The footage of these tiny marvels is amazing, and the new scientific discoveries presented are interesting. Patricia Clarkson does a nice job with the narration.
