Tatsuta was an amateur artist who signed onto the dangerous task of cleaning up the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant, which the workers came to call 'Ichi-F.' This is the story of that challenging work, of the trials faced by the local citizens, and of the unique camaraderie that developed between the mostly blue-collar workers who had to face the devious and invisible threat of radiation on a daily basis.

Slow plodding decommissioning & clean up on a nuclear power plant & surrounding area not sexy.
However, I learned a lot from safety protocols, construction subcontracting game, working in disposable suits, daily pay (standby & actual work) to the local themselves.
Author/artist debunked conspiracy reports by reporters from safety to alleged hiring of organized crime when tattooed people were local fisherman be identified if they drowned.
The all-guys camaraderie & fear of radiation level were so palpable. Weird he got more internal radiation during time in Tokyo than Fukushima or wearing a mask to preserve his identity & continue get the inside scoop.
Truth is stranger than usual manga fiction with you are there format.
