If you seriously wanna hear a good sample of some of the biggest and some of the best pop music sounds that prevailed in the 1970s - Then - This "Essential" 2-disc set is definitely an "essential" for your listening pleasure.

Containing 30 tracks in all of non-stop music-power (1970s-style) - "The Essential 1970s" offers the listener the #1 hit songs from such first-rate Canadian/British/American recording artists as - Kansas, The Guess Who, Moot the Hoople, and Heart (to name but a few).

Two of my favourite tunes in this dynamite collection are - "Black Magic Woman" (performed by Santana) and "Play That Funky Music" (performed by Wild Cherry).
