My five-year-old is really into sailboats right now, and he really loved this book. It gives a taste of nautical terms (e.g. bow, stern, galley), but is very accessible for kids and has a bit of a "figure out the mystery" plot.

Children (and their parents!) will enjoy this book about a brother and sister who go to school on a sailing ship. Full of adventure, mystery, heroics and friendship. Not since Hogwarts has there been such a magnificently-compelling school setting or student body! I highly recommend the audio-book version read by Crawford Logan who uses the many various accents of the students and teachers. Check it out for your next road-trip!
