Wildly uneven effort, even though the collection draws presumably the best from earlier volumes. If you don't mind reading mostly about characters that you'd do whatever it takes to avoid spending time with, maybe slogging through this for the occasional gem will be your cup of tea.

Interesting book, sometimes hard to follow. Author is powerful on such issues as animal welfare, child welfare, and guns.
