Jennifer Weiner's writing is so smooth that you don't even realize the passage of time. It's not an adrenaline- pumping book but it still gathers you in and makes it hard to put down. Moving back and forth between two characters and multiple time lines is tricky for most authors to do well, but she makes it seem effortless. Witnessing the two protagonists evolve was a real treat!

A story about how the people you love can change the course of your life forever.
It meandered a lot, but then life does that, doesn’t it?
By the time I’d gotten to the end, I’d forgotten many of the events in the middle.
Gonna read a Jodi Picoult novel now to see whether it is just a phase I’m in - not caring much about characters - or the author’s style. (After reading the Jodi Picoult novel I realize she has just spoiled me for other authors).

Loved this story..Loved the back and forth to show the history and the added little details.

Jennifer Weiner never fails me when I want a good read. This one takes a couple from teen years to adulthood. It would even be good for a sophisticated Teen, (there is some sex in it, but no more than some Teen novels I've read).

I enjoyed this book. It was always interesting as the story wove between Rachel and Andy in different phases of their lives. Sometimes they were together and then they were apart.
I've always enjoyed this author, but I think I enjoyed this book the most.

I love this author and again she did not disappoint with her latest book. You savour each and every chapter. Amazing story, believable, touching and heartfelt. definately should be on your "must read" list.

It's a compelling plot in the great writing she does in the NY Times.  Until the end of each section and the last third I would have said  journalism. There the poor athlete and the fragile upperclass girl who give in to their society dreams hit final adult crises and find who they are underneath it all. You'll love the children who lost their way growing up.

A wonderful love story that follows the ever-evolving relationship of Andy and Rachel, two children who meet during a chance encounter in a hospital emergency room. I loved both characters despite their obvious flaws and became totally invested in the final outcome of the book. A story about coming of age, family, fate, loss, and, of course, love.
