In case you're looking on how to log in, it's on the top right and says:
Electronic Resources:
"Registration required with a valid email. This database has a limited number of simultaneous users. If you have trouble accessing or receive an error message, please try later"

Or, you may be able to click it here http://www.vpl.ca/extDB/login.remoteDB_Ly?LyndaDotCom

Or, copy and paste that link into your browser.

Sign in page does not inform user of error in data entered, so lots of people are having a lot of trouble signing in to this resource.

Need to change the error page. It just shows " 500". Like what does that mean? Have been signing in and refreshing. Can't it send a ding or something to let me know when a license is free? This is such a waste of time!

Lynda.com is truly awesome! I'm unemployed and I can get some skills up here. But getting on the site is awful! Once you are in, you really need to maximize your time here because who knows when you'll be able to get back in!

You certainly can't use it to quickly dive in and get an answer to a how-to software question.

Is there Lynda for Markham Public Library? It seems that it is not.

While the link is hard to find at first, once you know it, accessing Lynda is a breeze.

It's wonderful that we can get free access to Lynda through the VPL!

Corrected/updated link info:

Click on the paragraph of blue text in a grey box at upper RIGHT, titled "Electronic Resources".

(It doesn't say "FIND IT AT VPL" here, only on the little window that pops up after you click that paragraph.)

That's where you log in and access the goodies.

You can also access it by clicking "Availability by Location" but it then requires an additional non-obvious click on the text.

Truly atrocious UI design on this page I must agree!
