Training of doctors hasn't changed too much from the '70s, except now in the U.S.A. the insurance companies get the bloat by controlling every second of every day in every medical facility. Excellent read.

The first half was repetitive, dull and served nothing more than a history lesson in the misogynistic environment of 1970's medical training. The second half was, although, quite a nice read, showing the raw humanity and sad realities of the arduous esoteric intern year.
