In my opinion, Godard's best film, next to Breathless. Right when it started, I was hooked and couldn't stop watching. A very unconventional, unique film that really showcases the talents of both Karina and Godard. A masterpiece.

One might call this film a "box of chocolates" from Godard. Each of the twelve tableaux has its own flavour, even though they are all chocolates. Some of them melt in your mouth, others have different types of centres, either hard or soft. All of them will leave you with the memory of Anna Karina as an aftertaste. As a wise 8 year-old girl wrote in her composition (as mentioned in the film), a bird has an outside, an inside and what is left, when those are gone, is the soul. Maybe it isn't a coincidence that I enjoy chocolates. This is definitely a film that can be savoured more than once.
