This is a 2008 documentary directed by Martin Meissonnier.
In our collective memory, Joan of Arc is the teenage shepherd girl who was burned at the stake in Rouen.
Long-buried 15th-century documents, however, suggest another story.
At the time of the execution, many people questioned the events at Rouen, insisting another girl was burned instead.
Then five years later, the rumors began to circulate---Joan was back.
The film takes us back through time to introduce us to the real Joan of Arc.
Is this the real Joan?
I doubt it.
Only God knows.
