Excellent story. Agree with the previous comment . Good , quick mystery read and gets to the point without all the pages of tedium / filler. Now that's how I like to read, gets to the meat of the story , kept my interest and quite enjoyable with twists .

It was a good afternoon read, definitely curl up on your couch and get a cup of tea or coffee to ensure you enjoy this murder mystery. Starts off in Ottawa, then you are taken back to a small town in Minnesota where Maja grew up and has stayed away for 5-6 years due to her history with her father. She reconnects with her brother, his wife and son, while meeting up with some old school friends. Some people are not who they seem and the story turns like tires hitting black ice. Not sure exactly what is coming next, but know that the murder is out there lurking.

The book was very well written. There were a couple of typically Canadian items purchased in the the United States.
