A well documented and vivid account of van Gogh's life.Personal note to the Vandal, the Villain the Philistine who had the NERVE to cut out 4 of the color plates...may you be plagued with bottomless remorse until your dying day.

Our library system is a lot more generous in its lending, but I was still having trouble finishing it in time. I ended up purchasing the hardback edition from Amazon for $10.00. Now I have a great art history book that I can pick up anytime and read again.

This book is simply amazing. I can really picture what the author is writing about and I feel a close connection to the artist.

The authors have delivered a thorough, detailed account of Van Gogh's life. I got a better understanding and appreciation for his art from this virtual journey into his fascinating behavior.

Van Gogh, the book I loaned has 950 pages and it cannot be renewed, after one week's loan. This is unfair and should be renewed for at least one week, I feel.
