I wonder how many people accidentally rented "Braveheart" by mistake. And vice versa. They are both Scottish.

The plot was kinda boring but otherwise another great Disney movie.
I find the mother quite annoying.

My daughters (ages 5&6) love Brave. Merdia is their favorite princess by far :) Great movie with fantastic music. A family favorite in our house!

Cute Disney, but the story... lacked something for me. I had too much sympathy for the Merida and too little for her mother for this to truly ring right to me. Still, a Disney, and thus very watchable.

This is a story of relationships, duty and dreams. Perfect mix of history and mystic. Loved the girl power element.

Brave is an animated movie that was made in 2012. The story follows Merida, where she breaks ancient tradition that sets a curse. She tries to get an elderly witch to help her break free from this curse, but then chaos ensues. This movie was something I highly enjoyed watching. It was able to combine some more ‘serious’ scenes along with some comedy. This is a great movie for everyone to watch, especially families. You will feel as though you are with Merida on her journey of breaking free from this curse and saving her family. I give this movie a 5/5 rating as this is something everyone can enjoy regardless of your age.

Merida is a feisty and courageous young woman who does not care what other people say. After enlisting the help of a witch, Merida is cursed and must undue it before it is too late. Brave is a very accurate title for this woman as she must overcome her fears and use her archery abilities to her advantage. Defiance of tradition does not always go over well, but for this young woman it did. This film is new, exciting, and teaches woman how to be strong and brave too. I would rate it 4.5/5 stars and recommend it to people everywhere with a lust for something different and adventurous.

Brave is about a princess independence and her priorities. Coming from a Disney Pixar movie it’s not surprising. Although Brave has key traits other princess movies don’t have. For starters Merida’s realistic red hair is curly and poofy. There is no love story it’s frowned upon in this movie. It visibly takes place in Scotland, there are many red heads and all the characters have Scottish accents. Brave is aimed younger than most of the recent classic Pixar movies, but that makes the movie’s dark and scary moments all the more effective. There’s a demon bear lurking in the woods that’s actually pretty damn scary, and the movie’s action beats thrill. In these moments Brave comes up to full speed as a great Pixar film.

A great story about a young girl following in her own path, and facing the consequences along the way.

“Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it. But there are some who are led.”
