Add a CommentI enjoyed it, since it was a strong performance by one man and full of relevant things to do with racism in America. Caught the feeling of judicial day in day out punctuated by court victory or loss highlights, with wife and two boys, the years and years of striving and always working really hard, this was Thurgood, at least in this stirring play. Good for us, if we ever make headway racially in America.
Excellent 1-person play brought to life by a wonderful performer.
a black manifesto, a searing indictment of America's pretence at racial equality, its institutionalized, and rabid, attacks on its own citizens, the dedication required to turn that around - Laurence Fishburne is every inch the man
This was truly an informative documentary. Mr. Fishburne's performance was a magnificent show of experience and ability. It's funny how the true stories, are always the best ones told in performance. If not for it being a cable program, this would have been Oscar material.
Excellent in every respect. This is one that I will watch again, Witty, engaging, and very well-balanced. The script for this one-man stage play is awesome.
I have never rated any DVD five stars before.
It was and is a joy.
Outstanding story and acting. Fishburne's engaging and dynamic portrayal of Thurgood is riveting. Highly recommend.
No other actor could have portrayed Justice Marshall as well as he did. I watched this three times!
