War is hell no matter what side you're one. Aaron does a great job looking at the motivations of soldiers on both sides and the lingering effects that war has on their lives and the lives around them.

Good book, well-developed characters, and really gripping examination of the social implications of the Vietnam War. Absolutely haunting artwork.

What is different about this story is that it puts the story of an American soldier and a North Vietnamese soldier on equal footing. It is a story about the spiritual decay caused by war and militarism and how there is no redemption for its survivors.

This seems to be well-reviewed but I didn't find the story compelling at all. Competently done, but on ground well trod.
