Seventeen-year-old Caroline Wexler is facing a teenager's nightmare: her widowed father has moved them from the city to a tiny nowhere town. When Caroline realizes she has nothing in common with the permanently stoned kids that populate her new school, she pursues the one person she connects with, her handsome young teacher, Mr. Anderson. Do not waste your time...this movie is awful.
Pointless theme and leaves me wondering why they bothered.

It's a shame this movie hasn't got more attention. It's what I'd call a quintessentially Canadian film. Kat Dennings can play more than just a snarky waitress, the cinematography is gorgeous and it has an awesome soundtrack feauturing a who's who in indie music (Stars, Beach House and Sonic Youth, to name a few). There should be more movies like this.
