Interestingly, I had listened to the cd’s in the wrong order and didn’t even realize it until just before returning them when I had double-checked all the cd’s were present. As it turns out, I had played the last cd fourth and vice versa. This may be one of the few books where this is not noticeable since the main character, Billy Pilgrim, is constantly jumping around in time (or becoming “unstuck in time” as he refers to it). In this order, the ending is actually the incineration of Dresden with the last words being the song that appears to be voiced by the German prison guards -

“So long forever old fellows and pals
So long forever old sweethearts and pals
God Bless ‘em”.

Overall, a unique and stirring take on mankind’s predisposition towards making war.
