Even though COVID-19 has clearly put something of a damper on Halloween celebrations for this year - I think that (while self-isolating at home) one could still enjoy doing things like watching "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" once again.

In this cute and sentimental story of Trick-or-Treating - Charlie Brown and all of the regular Peanuts Gang join up at Violet's party in order to have one heck of a Happy Halloween together.

With Halloween just around the corner - What could be a better choice for cartoon viewing than "It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"?

As the story goes - Longtime believer, Linus is certain that this year the Great Pumpkin will come and so he decides to keep watch all night in the pumpkin patch to welcome him. Charlie Brown dresses up as a ghost, but does not scare up the usual kinds of Halloween loot when trick-or-treating. Snoopy crashes into Violet's party, as well as Linus' vigil.

Believe me - You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this animated classic from 1966, courtesy of Charlie Brown's creator, Charles M. Schulz.

With the beauty of Autumn in full swing, we find the adorable "Peanuts" gang excitedly preparing themselves for the up-coming Halloween festivities.

With another Halloween rolling around, Linus has, once again, faithfully written his annual letter to The Great Pumpkin. His friends all give him plenty of flack over this.

While Linus and Sally patiently remain in the local pumpkin patch, waiting for the arrival of The Great Pumpkin, the rest of the "Peanuts" gang don their Halloween costumes and happily go out trick or treating for goodies.

To their excited delight, it's candies and cookies and chocolates for all, except for poor, old Charlie Brown, who is given rocks from each house, instead.

While everyone's enjoying themselves at Violet's Halloween party, a shadowy figure suddenly rises high over the moonlit pumpkin patch, scaring Linus so out of his wits that he faints dead away, right there on the spot.

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is yet another absolutely delightful animated picture from our good friend, Charles M. Schulz.

Charlie Brown: I don't understand it. I went trick-or-treating and all I got was a bag full of rocks.

Linus: There are three things I have learned never to discuss with people: religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin.
