This one is kind of dog.

The main character is painfully slow in understanding what's going on and it's probably more with the POV switching than anything. Connelly's a good writer but waiting for your character to catch up to what the antagonist has already done makes the protagonist seem dull-witted.

A lot of good ideas, but not nearly as well executed as his Bosch novels.

Connelly is awesome but I enjoy the McEvoy novels the least.

After a bit of a slow start, the story really picks up about half way through disk 3 and keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen next, right up until the end of the story!! Very suspenseful, well thought out and delivered plot. Really liked this one--9 out of 10 for me.

Easy to understand why this thriller's atop the NY Times bestseller list. The well paced plot of twists and turns is worthy for any lover of good suspense. 9 of 10 stars
