I enjoyed this second in a series by Steven James. The characters are developing nicely, and the story was entertaining and sufficiently gripping. I look forward to continuing with additional books in this series, and will also try any stand alone by James as I like his style.

Very entertaining book, fast-paced, and quite an enjoyable read once you get over the stiff delivery of the author. James writes without the flair of some of the great thriller writers but he still manages to deliver a fun book.

I thought this was better than The Pawn. The characters are more fleshed out and so they seem more real and close. I will continue to read this series.
