No one TV series is going to be able to tell the whole truth about Henry VIII, let alone his six wives, who were different from one another as women of their class could be. But sorry, The Tudors fans, this is still the best version of the story. The production is low budget TV, and the wives were more politically sophisticated and manipulative than is mostly portrayed here. But the writing, acting, and casting are first rate. Katherine of Aragon is for once short, pale skinned, and red haired, as she should be.

Interesting and, I believe, quite accurate. How amazing to witness the portrayel of what this man could have been had he not been so obesely fat and unhealthy...and egotistical (which comes with the territory and wasn't unusual in the royals at that time).
