I just finished the third (and final) Alfred Kropp book, and this series turned out to be rather more philosophical than I expected. But still with lots of explosions and such.

LoL go fat Alfred. This book is the most random thing that will ever happen to you. Just as random as a chuck of the sky falling on your head killing you.

I did find it took a while to get into the first book but it was worth the effort. I ended up devouring the series of 3 books and wanting more. There's a lot of action and drama and the hero goes all over the world and the story lines are really interesting. They would have made wonderful movies. I recommend it.

I tried to get into this book and like it, but I just couldn't. The characters weren't very likable, and it was overall a somewhat disappointing experience. I mean after you read the opening few sentences, "A lot of people died because of me, including me" or something along those lines, you think the book will actually be worth it; but no it wasn't. Maybe it gets better later on, I don't know, but from the first half, I wasn't impressed. So with that, I'm giving The Extraordinary Adventures of Alfred Kropp a 3/10; not my brand of vodka.

Alfred kropp is an engaging hero in this modern twist on the King Arthur tales.
