With the passage of time, an ever-growing number of indisputable facts are pointing to very serious breaches of integrity and an unsettling lack of transparency surrounding the motivations of key individuals and agencies with distinct roles in events leading up to and following that fateful morning. Currently the Washington correspondent for the Village Voice, James Ridgeway investigates what the 9/11 commission should have told us...but didn't.

I would submit several other questions along with Mr. Ridgeway (the author of many a fine "Mother Jones" article) which so incredibly benefitted Wall Street and certain of the economic elite in America: (1) What became of those thousands of SEC investigations when the files with their source documents were destroyed in the destruction of Building 7? (2) Was there ever any follow-up into the uncovering of that unaccounted for $2.3 trillion, announced on 9/10/01, by the auditing team responsible which was almost completely wiped out when a plane crashed into the Pentagon's west wall (the DIA's Financial Management group)? Since the emergency clause of the Securities Act was invoked by the SEC, exactly what was the make-up and status of those hundreds billions of dollars worth of securities which were moved (traded, sold, etc.) without any oversight whatsoever in the several weeks following 9/11/01? And please explain the unique "coincidence" of those three very unique groups, and three very unique persons, aboard those four airliners that horrible day? (It is telling that on the bottom of page 930 of the 9/11 Commission Report, rightwinger Zoe Baird's group promotes the adoption of a national identity card for all Americans [Zoe Baird was the rightwinger Clinton attempted to get appointed when he was president].)
