Originally produced as an episode of the HISTORY CHANNEL TV program in 1998, this 43-minute documentary delves into the Salem Witch trials and provides a comprehensive account of the actual events while examining the possible causes behind this highly notorious and puzzlingly complex period in early American history.
It is interesting to know what religious extremism would bring and how it would turn out to be so deadly.

Impressively presented through the "History Channel" - "The Salem Witch Trials" was certainly a very intriguing and well-researched documentary, in many ways.

This presentation is a true-account tale that is, without question, a "real-life" horror story that proves, once again, that fact is (Indeed) more sinister than fiction.

To me - This recounting of the Salem witch trials was nothing short of being a big, painful, blistering black-eye for early-American history.

Through stills, interviews, and informative narration - This compelling, 40-minute documentary tells the viewer all about the fear, the hysteria, and the religious extremism that took hold of 500 "Puritan" settlers in Salem, Massachusetts in the year 1692.
