despite the dated production values - black and white, etc. - of this splendid however offering, Ibsen's play, written in 1882 no less, is right up to the very minute, an amazingly relevant, pertinent, topical story about government and corporate corruption, and the principled voices which object
our Canadian Kate Reid is as usual splendid as Dr Stockman's wife
and they've got Dr Stockman himself looking like Abraham Lincoln for extra moral punch
