This book rates only a half-a-star. It's enough one has to read/hear about these tragic shooting incidents in everyday life; certainly don't need to read about them as well. It also provides ideas for those who might be thinking about…
Given the emotionally charged subject matter, a mass shooting at a shopping mall by three teenagers, Nora Roberts shines, being me to tears several times throughout the book. - Anisha A., Franklin Library

Fascinating book, totally different, had everything was up very late just had to finish the book. Have read a lot of Nora Roberts over the years this has to be one of the best.

Good start, bad ending. Always well written.
But the rush to wrap everything up in a tidy little bow wrecked the ending.

Really really enjoyed it. Couldn't put it down....kept me up late at night. Really different plot. Opens with 3 shooters at a Mall in Maine. Several people die, many wounded, but the police get their quickly and one shooter is killed and 2…

I don't believe I've read any of her books before this. But it had interesting characters and the plot moved along well. An easy and quick read. Very much today with the mass shooting at the beginning.
Roberts did I good job depicting a very real situation and I enjoyed the book. However, I got the feeling that she liked writing the bad guy's character more, which made it so there was zero mystery involved. And then an anti-climatic…

Another great story from Nora Roberts. It is very relevant considering what has been happening in the U.S. over the past several years. Good mystery spiced up with romance.

Haunting. I have always loved Nora Roberts' writing. This one was different. I cried and cried. It pulled me through like a magnet. Trust Nora to get to the heart of things.

As always, when I read a Nora Roberts novel, I say this one is the best. I did it again when I finished "Shelter In Place". It grabbed me from the first page and kept me until I finished it today. It came to life and I 'watched' as all the…

While I wouldn't say this is my favorite of Nora Roberts' novels, it follows her familiar pattern and was an interesting read. Note: there is a mass shooting at the beginning of the book that is described as it happens, so it could be…

This book was a real page turner and kept my attention right from the beginning. I have read Nora Roberts books but I thought this was by far the best one of her books that I have read. I'll definitely be looking at more of her upcoming…

It was difficult to read the parts about the shooting, but I liked that the story didn't really focus on that but rather the aftermath with an interesting turn of events. Definitely recommended!

Reed and Simone survived a mall shooting, along with many others. Many died, including the shooters. They survived but not without emotional scars. Reed took that experience and decided his career. Simone ran but her running helped her…
Despite the grim topic of a mass shooting, it was a surprisingly enjoyable book. I loved the hippy Grandmother that maintained her identity throughout the narrative but found it a bit odd characters with strong personalities were…

Caught my attention from the first and carried it through to the end! Strong characters, great plot!
