I enjoy the original much more than this more recent remake. Some things should just be left alone ...

STEVE McQueen and his pals try to warn the dumbass adults in town that a big ol' Blob is coming, but they don't listen until it gets into the movie theater, when it's practically too late. You may notice one scene where smoke comes from…

Believe me - "The Blob" is one of those quirky SyFy/Monster films from yesteryear that (if you are willing to cut it some serious slack) can really be a helluva lot of fun to watch when it comes to all of the unintentionally humorous…

WHAT A PROPHETIC ENDING? Love that "smokey" question mark!! I'm waiting for the sequel......the sea ice will soon be gone!!! Simple life...simple monsters!!! McQueen is great, isn't he???!!!

Believe me - They sure don't make 'em like this one anymore. "The Blob" is the type of SyFy/Monster fright flick that could've only come out of the mindset of 1950s movie-making. Produced on a super-tight budget of just $240,000 and…

Creaky and creepy, sustained by Steve McQueen's presence and the surprisingly effective special effects. And, yes, that's Helen Crump ( Aneta Corsaut ), Andy Taylor's sweetums from The Andy Griffith Show looking a bit long in the tooth to…

Unintentionally hilarious 1950's SyFy/Horror.

Not bad, I came for Steve Mcqueen and stayed for the frozen jello. I was thinking the same thing as Jelinekl... Will the arctic stay frozen for ever Lt. Dave? We shall see.... PS Isn't it amazing how well dressed and polite people…

"Beware of the Blob!" The Blob is a low-budget Sci-Fi/Horror film from 1958 that is so bad that it's actually quite hilariously entertaining. The monster scenes are absolutely priceless to watch. And Steve McQueen's wooden performance…

I've watched this several times over the years. Most of it was filmed in Downingtown, PA, about 30 minutes from where I grew up and where my brother now lives. The theater & grocery store scenes were filmed in Phoenixville, at the Colonial…

55 years ago they froze the blob in the Arctic.....as long as it stays frozen. Now with global warming, the blob shall return.

A definite classic that every movie buff should own.

Opening with a spicy, saxophone-dominated, jazz/pop title song (penned by Burt Bacharach) containing lyrics that go like this - "Beware of the blob. It creeps and leaps and glides and slides across the floor..." - You can surely bet that…

This is a good example of what an alien life form might really be like. One of the only films that takes place entirely at night. Also seems to be (mostly) in real time. "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" (1988) uses the same basic plot,…

This is the first time I've ever thought to myself "wow, they really didn't shoot enough coverage for this film". I understand it's possibly the first of the modern "independent films", I understand many were doing a feature for the first…
