Discover great books and stories that engage young children in the storytelling process.

This early language and literacy workshop provides free professional development for early childhood educators (ECE), childcare providers, and adults currently working with young children in the community. The workshop is available to those living and/or working in Vancouver. 

Certificates will be issued by email following completion of the workshop. Workshops are two hours long.

Please note:

• The content of this workshop will be the same as delivered at the Read, Sing, Engage! Conference for Early Childhood Educators 2025 & workshop on January 17, 2026.
• Priority for registration will be given to those who did not attend the 2025 conference or January workshop. Applicants who attended the previous event will be waitlisted and will be contacted if a spot is available.

Priority for registration will be given to early childhood educators (ECE), childcare providers and adults currently working with children living and/or working in Vancouver. If you do not live/work in Vancouver, your name will be added to a waitlist and you will be notified if space is available.​

• Participants can sit on the floor, in chairs or stand at any time
• Material such as books will be used
