Vancouver school groups are invited to meet theatre artist Cee Peal who has taken on a new role as the 2026 Indigenous Storyteller in Residence at VPL. Originally from the Nisga’a First Nation in Northern B.C., Cee is an actor, director, writer, dancer, and producer who has worked on various productions. He’s also a familiar face at The Cultch in Vancouver, where he is the Indigenous outreach coordinator, and The Carmen Arts Group in Terrace, where he is the artistic associate. Cee will lead the classes through a fun and interactive theatre-building experience. For Grades 4 and up.
The Children’s Library and collection will not be accessible to school groups on May 21. Borrowing of Children’s materials will not be possible as Library staff will be preparing to move to the new Children’s area as part of the The Children’s Library renewal project. The Teen Collection and Adult collections, as well as other areas of the library will be open.
