Enjoy connecting with other families and playing with LEGO® in this small group, sensory-friendly, distraction-reduced program. Open to children with all abilities and needs, but especially designed for those who thrive with additional support, and their families or caregivers. Light levels will be reduced in the programming room while the rest of the library will function as usual. Sensory Kits with weighted stuffies, fidget toys, ear defenders, sunglasses, and drawing tablets will be available. No diagnosis or referral needed. Grades K – 7.
Space is limited to 6 children, non-Vancouver residents will be waitlisted. Siblings are welcome, but must also be registered. Children must be accompanied by an adult, to allow 1-to-1 support. The program will be facilitated by one librarian. Please call the branch for more information. Drop-ins welcome as space allows.
