Rooftop Rhythms: Los Duendes

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Central Library

Description

Enjoy free jazz-ish concerts every Thursday afternoon in July on the Central Library’s picturesque rooftop terrace!

Los Duendes brings the spirit of global psychedelia to the heart of Vancouver's music scene, weaving together Cumbia, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and roots music into an electrifying tapestry of sound. This five-piece ensemble, whose name evokes the mischievous and magical spirits of Latin American folklore, transforms every venue into an unstoppable dance party with their unique fusion of musical styles. Electric guitars, drums, congas, percussion, and bass create a rich foundation for their three-part vocal harmonies. This dynamic configuration allows them to move seamlessly between psychedelic explorations and traditional Cumbia rhythms, while maintaining the infectious groove that has become their trademark.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear world class musicians performing in one of Vancouver's most beautiful public spaces.
