Are you a new immigrant who loves libraries? Consider becoming a Library Champion!

As a Library Champion volunteer, you will connect with other immigrants to let them know what their local library offers. NewToBC provides you with the training and the opportunities to build communication skills, make new friends, help newcomers, and learn about the amazing resources of your public library! To be a Library Champion, you must be 19 years or older and a Permanent Resident of Canada (Canadian Citizens are not eligible).

Library Champions is a project of NewToBC. To register for the Information Session to learn more about this volunteer opportunity, click here and look for Vancouver Public Library's session on January 21.

This event will be held online on Zoom. NewtoBC will send you a link in advance. To join, you will need a computer, tablet, or phone with internet access. It is ideal to have a webcam and microphone, though this is not essential.
