Join us for an evening of celebration with the presentation of the 2024 Woodcock and Ryga Awards!
The George Woodcock Award for Outstanding Literary Achievement in British Columbia will be awarded to international bestseller of speculative fiction and the author who invented the term “cyberspace,” Willliam Gibson. Learn more about the author and the George Woodcock Award here.
The 2024 George Ryga Award for social awareness is tied between two wonderful BC authors, Helen Knott for Becoming A Matriarch and Wayne McCrory for The Wild Horses of the Chilcotin.
Both the George Woodcock Award and the George Ryga Award are sponsored by Yosef Wosk, Writers’ Trust of Canada, and the Pacific BookWorld News Society.
