Sarah Cox: Signs of Life

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Central Library

Description

What’s to be done when only three spotted owls are left in Canada’s wild? When wolves eat endangered caribou, cormorants kill rare trees, and housing developments threaten a tiny frog?

Chronicling the race to save endangered species, Sarah Cox’s new book Signs of Life provides a fresh and urgent perspective on conservation. Spending time with the Canadian military, Indigenous guardians, and ordinary people to see the work they are doing to protect biodiversity, Cox presents a call to action to turn things around before it’s too late.

Join Sarah in conversation with Ainslie Cruickshank, B.C. Biodiversity Reporter for The Narwhal.
