The trans community is invited to celebrate holding space to honour International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) which occurs every year on March 31st. This afternoon at the library will be dedicated to recognizing and celebrating transgender and gender nonconforming people while acknowledging their contributions to society by helping to foster inclusive spaces.
Join in on fun activities including an author reading with Loghan Paylor, the Abbotsford-based author of A Cure for Drowning, music by Penelope Parker, an art therapy session, a mini speed friending event, pronoun button making, a lower-stim stretch workshop in partnership with the Vancouver Park Board, other community information tables with Cross & Crows Books, Trans Care BC and more to help raise awareness of the resiliency of transgender and gender nonconforming people. Further details will be announced soon.
