Black History Month Celebration

Description

Celebrate Black History Month at the library exploring stories, books, music and songs. Join Library staff  along with a roster of special guests. Best suited for an audience of young children ages 2-5 along with their parents and caregivers.

Drop in for part of the event or stay for the whole morning.

10:00 am Children's songs kick of the event with Canadian Soul Singer, Dawn Pemberton.

10:30 am Family Storytime highlights some read aloud favourites from our current booklist.

11:00 am Cultural Storyteller Vanessa Richards presents tales for young children.

11:20 am Cultural Drummer and Musician Maurice Earle takes the stage along with drums for kids to try.
