Description

We are currently witnessing a global rise in anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, while fewer and fewer suvivors of the Holocaust remain. How can we preserve the history of the Holocaust and educate young people about it? And can a book help to push back against disinformation and hate?

Come to a conversation about But I Live, and new book that collects the stories of four Holocaust survivors, illustrated by three graphic novelists. It received a Canadian Jewish Literary Award in 2022. 

The presenters will be graphic novelist Miriam Libicki, Holocaust survivor David Schaffer, and the book’s editor Charlotte Schallié. They will appear in a panel moderated by writer and reporter Marsha Lederman.
