Come witness the best poems the city has to offer as local writers put their most inspirational places on the map.
Writers of all ages have entered the City Poems Contest, finding poetic inspiration in Vancouver's local neighbourhoods, parks, gardens, beaches, bridges, creeks, streets, historic buildings and more. From Victory Square to the Expo 86 grounds, Stanley Park to Chinatown, Mountain View Cemetery to Hogan's Alley, Hastings Park to the Marpole Midden, poems have popped up all over the city!
On June 11, find out about the shortlisted poems and meet their authors. The winners of the City Poems Contest will be announced and will read their award-winning poems.
