Home Made Visible: Screening

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Central Library

Description

Indigenous, Black and People of Colour communities are disproportionately underrepresented in all media. How do past images unearthed from personal and institutional archives come to shape new stories?

The Home Made Visible project brings a personal lens to Indigenous and visible minority archives.

Join us for a theatrical screening of all of six of the project's short commissioned films, with a discussion following the program with filmmakers Maya Bastian and Aeyliya Husain, and Project Artistic Director, Ananya Ohri.

This screening opens the Home Made Visible exhibition that runs from May 8-26 and also includes a workshop on May 9th with local filmmakers Derek Kwan and Joella Cabalu.

This event is in partnership with Regent Park Film Festival.

This event takes place in the new Montalbano Family Theatre, Level 8.
