Join multi-disciplinary artist Ruby Smith Díaz in advance of Black Futures month for the creation of Afro-Futurism Trading Cards! Inspired by the work of science fiction writer Octavia Butler, this workshop will have black-identified youth ages 13 to 18 design and create trading cards around the question - "what would it mean for you to be free"?
This series will culminate in an exhibit at the Kensington Branch on Saturday, February 3 to celebrate Black Futures Month in Vancouver.
