Description

Hear the first-hand experience of a recently arrived refugee, front-line case workers and a resettlement leader.

Panelists include Kathy Sherell, Associate Director of Settlement Services, Mohammed Alsaleh, a RAP case worker, Bayron Figueroa, case manager (SOS) and Raid Abazeed, a recently arrived refugee.

Tables of local refugee service organization will be present from 1:30-4:30 p.m.: Amnesty International, Canadian Red Cross, CANN, ISS of BC, Inland Refugee Society, MOSAIC, Rainbow Refugee, SOS, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and UNHCR.

In partnership with ISS of BC.

A documentary film screening of The Crossing will follow in the evening.
