Gordon Gekko: It's not about the money - It's about the game.
Gordon Gekko: Someone reminded me I once said "Greed is good". Now it seems it's legal. Because everyone is drinking the same Kool Aid.
Jacob Moore: If it weren't for people who took risks, where would we be in this world?
Gordon Gekko: Payback. Except I'm not in that business anymore - because the one thing I learned in jail is that money is not the prime asset in life. Time is.

Add a CommentI saw the movie and I had liked it this is the movie for bankers to see but not for children to watch
Decent updating of the Gordon Gekko Story. Not nearly as good as the originial Wall Street but still quite entertaining. The Charlie Sheen caneo was hilarious.
I LOVED the bag of goodies Gekko gets back when leaving the prison. Money and greed go hand-in-hand in this return from Wall Street. Not bad.
Who said Shia labarf can act?????????????????
This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”
THIS SHOULD BE RATED TRIPLE XXX FOR THE UNEXCUSED GREED THAT RUNS THROUGHOUT AND IS ESSENTIALLY REWARDED AT THE END OF THE MOVIE. IF THIS REPRESENTS WALL STREET - WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE AS A SOCIETY. BUT WE KNEW THAT. (I MAKE MY RETIREMENT LIVING TRADING STOCKS DAILY FROM HOME)
THRILLING THT CAN CATHC UR BREATH............
Nothing like the original Wall Street film, but still fun to watch. I think Oliver Stone was too quickly pressured into producing a sequel to an already "Perfect" film and as a result was not able to capture the same feeling as Wall Street did. Michael Douglas was not able to Reprise his original Gordon Gekko character and the other actors were just not able to fully reproduce the quality of acting which made the original film an award winner.
Bad movie. Just kind of dumb. Nothing like the first Wall Street. Avoid it unless you just want some mindless drivel to watch.
This movie is not bad. However, I think that the 1987 part one “Wall Street” is much better. As for “W.S. -money never sleeps” it’s interesting to see how the market world operates; millions are earned or lost within minutes, on how and when market reacts, how it affects people. This particular movie introduces few facts about current housing/market crisis that started current depression in US & cascaded around the world. Personally, I was never big fan of Michael Douglas however; to be honest he had a far better role/performance in the previous movie – than in this one. In the “W.S. – money never sleeps”, he has small role, and not well written, very well performed, but not well written – it feels like he is in the shadows, behind Shia La Beouf, and it should be a way around. Anyhow –here are my two cents.
