Here is one of the most thorough and accessible introductions to the Tibetan Buddhist worldview ever written. INDESTRUCTIBLE TRUTH leads the reader into the vast and colourful world of Tibetan Buddhism, including history, philosophy, and meditation practices, presented as elements of a practical living spirituality. Reginald A. Ray Ph.D., elucidates complex and sophisticated teachings and practices in a nontechnical language, using engaging stories and personal anecdotes to illustrate his points. INDESTRUCTIBLE TRUTH shows Tibetan Buddhism in its traditional form but also reveals how it is readily applicable to the problems and challenges of modern life in the West. In INDESTRUCTIBLE TRUTH, the reader is introduced to Tibetan Buddhism not as an exotic religion, but as an expression of human spirituality that is having a profound impact on the modern world. In addition it presents meditation and the practice of the spiritual life, paying special attention to the 'Practice Lineage' of the Kagyu and Nyingma schools, and to the unconvential hermits, yogis, and saints which have been so important to Tibetan tradition.

A textbook for Buddhism 101, but not horribly dry. A slow read, so I'ts going on my 'Worth Rereading' List.
